Finance

One of the ways you can pay. Here is how the three options work.

Your options

HP

Hire Purchase

Spread the cost. When the last payment clears, the car is yours.

  • A deposit, then fixed monthly payments
  • No mileage limits
Ownership
Transfers to you with the final payment.
At the end
Nothing to decide — the car is yours.
PCP

Personal Contract Purchase

Lower monthly payments. Part of the car's value waits until the end.

  • A guaranteed minimum future value is agreed up front
  • Part-exchange protection
Ownership
Stays with the lender until you settle the final payment.
At the end
Pay the final payment and keep it. Or return it. Or put any equity towards your next car.
Loan

Personal Loan

An unsecured loan buys the car outright, so the finance sits separately from the vehicle.

  • You own the car immediately
  • No mileage restrictions
Ownership
Yours from the moment you buy.
At the end
The loan simply ends — there is no final balloon payment.

Plain English

The terms you’ll see in any quote

Figures depend on the car, your deposit, the term and the lender. So we don’t quote them here.

Deposit
What you put down at the start. A part exchange can count towards it.
Term
How long the agreement runs. A longer term means smaller payments, but costs more overall.
Monthly payment
The fixed amount you pay each month.
Final payment
PCP only. The part left until the end, due if you keep the car.

Finance questions

Does sending a finance enquiry affect my credit score?

No. The form just tells us what you're looking for. Any finance application is a separate step, and you agree to it first.

Can my part exchange go towards a finance deposit?

Yes. It can go towards your deposit, or straight off the price if you're paying another way.
